2) Under this drawing SKF has two ( 2 ) material references
a) OKC-220 / 22240
MSC060 material Stainless Steel coupling is mainly used for offshore use and vessels, where the coupling is submerged in Sea Water, means the material is permanent in abrasive medium.
b) OKC-220 / 2000288
MSC-001 a Carbon Steel coupling. Application is in normal - not submerged periphery. You can keep this coupling in shape while using a preservative medium like CRC for instance.
c) Until year 2012 “SKF” used denomination OKC-220/22240 for both materials.
One drawing as “ OKC-220/22240 ” for Carbon Steel and “ OKC-220/22240 SS for Stainless Steel.
Only in 2014 the Carbon Steel coupling was changed to ref. OKC-220 / 2000288.
Remaining data ( dimensions & power transmission ) are equal.
